Britain's Got Talent!

Last Saturday, we all watched Sophie Mei (ME!) from Sheffield, a student at Manchester University successfully make it through to the next round of Britain's Got Talent!

It has well and truly been the most exciting and terrifying experience of my life! I auditioned for the show at the Palace Theatre in January so it was bizarre seeing it televised last Saturday. Going onto such a huge stage for the first time was extremely daunting but as most performers know, once you start to get into character you don't want the experience to end. I was even more amazed by the judges reaction after years of being told "You're not the kind of thing we are looking for!". I was finally accepted!

Since Saturday, I have been lucky enough to have interviews for newspapers and radio in London and had a live interview last Monday morning on GMTV!!. That really was surreal and I'm still buzzing with all the adrenaline.

I'm still practising in between interviews and the dreaded University exams, and will know more on May 24th if I make it through to the LIVE SEMI FINALS!! So must prepare just in case.

But no matter where and when the experience ends it has been truly AMAZING and hopefully life changing.

Fingers, Toes and Hips (if possible) are all crossed!
