I watched in stunned silence the Irish Dance performance to Celtic Kittens by the Seniors from Fryday Academy of Irish Dancing. What a fantastic piece of choreography Linda, well done to the pupils who have done their teacher and parents proud. The girls carried it off perfectly and the routine looked amazing on stage.

The costumes stood out well under the lighting and every single one of her pupils shone on stage, immaculately dressed and groomed. Needless to say her school swooped the majority of the awards including Kent Dance Champion 2008 and the costume and choreography awards in both sections.

Fryday Academy also won £500 in prize money.

Proud parents could not believe it, and the house was an uproar of cheers.

Principal Linda Fryday commented " We came here 2 years ago and enjoyed it but had a break last year due to holiday commitments and planned to come back to dance again this year". she also said "The event has improved since we last attended, the lighting and staging is lot better and the quality of the dancers this year is excellent. Our girls did really well and I am so proud". Both pupils and parents were overjoyed.
