In the 3 months since Move It 2008, the All 4 Dance and Drama development team have been busy behind the scenes, working making the website even better. After listening to all your comments and feedback during and following Move IT, we have been working through our list of improvements and enhancements, trying our best to incorporate all the features you've asked for, without losing focus on the purpose and aims of All 4 Dance and Drama. Improvements so farBusiness Resource DirectoryNow the Business Resource Directory has had some time to mature we are processing all the new entry requests we received at Move IT not just from dance teachers, but from other businesses and organisations, all of which are related to dance and the performing arts. Location MapBy Default all directory listings now have a location map displayed, showing all your potential new customers the location of your business, and offering the chance for them to obtain door to door driving directions. Can't See the Map on my ListingWe are using some pretty advanced GeoCoding Software to get the map location of your business form your address, but unfortunately it's not 100% perfect, and it can't geocode some addresses, so we've added a manual location facility, to the directory entry form. Now all you need to do is claim your business directory listing (if you haven't already done so) and drag the marker to the correct location on the map and click on the manual update button, then save your directory listing I don't want my business location shownNo Problem, just claim your listing as above, go to the listing edit form and remove the map coordinates then save your listing. Claim Your ListingAs mentioned above once you claim your business listing, you can add extra information and details and keep it up to date. You can even modify your listings meta description and meta keywords, to help your new customers find you! Live HelpAs you might have noticed we've added a Live 'On-line' help interface so if you can't find what you're looking for or need help in any way, just click the button and chat on-line to one of our experienced help line operators. All our On-line Help operators are experienced volunteers, who work on maintaining the website and adding content, so they will know where to find the information you require. Digg ThisAll articles, blog posts and other features now above a 'Digg This' Button for you to vote for the item at Digg. Quote This ArticleTo make adding a link easy, use the 'Quote This' article feature, just copy and paste the code into to your blog or social network page to automatically put a link to the article on your site, then just test the link out and you get your link back with our upcoming link back feature!
Road Map of Improvements still To ComeWhilst not set in stone, here are a list of some of the improvements we are planning for our website:- New Website TemplateWe are in the final phase of testing out a much improved website look and feel. This is proving to be quite a challenge, giving the flexibility for each page to adjust to show all the related and relevant information. RestructuringDuring the change over process, you might notice certain sections and features disappearing for a bit whilst we reorganise the content in to the new framework, but we are carrying out extensive testing at the moment to help ensure that the disruptions are kept to the absolute minimum. External LinksThis is a new little feature in which all external links will be marked with a little external link logo. Link BackPut a link to either the All 4 Dance and Drama Website or an specific article on your website or in a blog post and send us a visitor and get automatic link back to your blog post or website.
