I.D.T.A Dance Master UK 2009Talented 'Born into Dance' Dancer Scoops Top IDTA Award
Yorkshire lad Billy George who was literally 'born to dance' escaped from his regular 'jailbird' routine for the final of the I.D.T.A Dance Master UK held at Blackpool Winter Gardens this weekend during the IDTA Miss Dance of Great Britain Final 09. Miss Dance of Great Britain 2009 - Miss Sophie Turner Junior International Ballet Champion 2009 - Natasha Agarwal Senior International Ballet Champion 2009 - Matthew Koon John Dilworth Bursary Award for Potential - Danielle Alexander Ros Wicks Bursary Award for Vocal Potential - Anna Julia Grinnell Dance Master UK qualifying heats held at Brampton FestivalBilly who qualified for the grand final at Brampton Springtime Festival, performed a mesmerising tumbling / dance act to a packed audience and received a standing ovation from the all female audience. The atmosphere was electric as the packed house waited for the final results and Billy was announced the winner. Dancer Scoops award in Final Year as competitor Billy who say's he was 'born into dance' has been dancing since he could walk. Both his gran and his mum run their own dance studio in Leeds. For proud mum June, pictured with Billy above this was the icing on the cake, she was absolutely overjoyed to see her son win the title in this, his final year as a Dance Master competitor. As winner of the title Billy received the title a plaque and cheque for £500. Well Done Billy! -
