The Chris de Marigny dance writers awards are being relaunched, to support and encourage emerging dance writers, the fund is given to any project the writer believes will enable their development as a dance writer.

Raising the quality of writing about dance in the UK is the aim of the fund, and the focus will be on encouraging newcomers who reflect the changes in the dance world.

Bonnie Bird Choreography Fund Awards

Award Funding: £1,500

Applications are being invited from emerging professional choreographers for the 3 annual Bonnie Bird Choreography Awards. 

Purpose of the Award

The award is given to undertake research, on a personal project or personal study which the choreographer believes will contribute in a vital way to forwarding his/her development as an artist.

Open to:

Professional choreographers in all styles, British or resident in the UK for 12months

A full C.V. is essential and must be accompanied by a completed application form  (application form and guidleines.) 

Winners will be required to write a short (A4) report for the BBCF at the end of the award period (within one year of the ceremony date).
