The NCO exists as a non-profit-making charitable organisation.

The Orchestra's survival depends on a combination of course fees, personal donations and corporate sponsorship. The NCO are on the lookout for potential sponsors.

The National Children's Orchestra are looking for potential sponsors. They are looking for organisations who are interested in the promotion of artistic excellence in young people today, the NCO would make an ideal partner.

There are plenty of opportunities for sponsors' brand or product exposure at numerous concerts and appearances throughout the year. Whilst they are keen to preserve the unique "NCO" identity,

The National Children's Orchestra has five age-banded orchestras, for children between the ages of 7 and 13 years. It draws together each year almost 500 talented musicians, divided into the five age banded orchestras, from all over the UK. Their eldest group - the 'Main Orchestra' is one of the world's finest children's orchestras. The NCO gives talented children the chance to play in a full symphony orchestra.

Courses

They run week-long residential courses that are stimulating, educational and great fun.

All their Members enjoy performing in concerts up and down the country. More than 500 members and ex-members performed to a packed house, at Symphony Hall, Birmingham for their 25th Anniversary concert

The Training Orchestra, Under 11 and Under 12 Orchestras give end of course concerts to parents and friends. The Under 13 and Main Orchestras give public performances.
